Sandra Faye Massey

October 8, 1943 ~ November 13, 2023 (age 80)


Sandra Faye Jones Massey passed away at the Authora Care Hospice Home of Burlington on November 13, 2023 at the age of 80.


Sandra was born in Burlington, NC on October 8, 1943, to Clifton and Ruth Jones of Graham.


She was married to the late Donald Reid Massey.


She lived in Swepsonville for 57 years and worked at Cone Mills and Blue Cross NC.  She was a member of Hopedale Christian Church.


She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.


She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Robertson (Andrew) of Mebane, and son, Tony Massey (Renee) of Haw River; her grandchildren, Jordan Massey, Hunter Massey (Macy), Lauren Rorrer (Ben) and Garett Robertson. Sandra is also survived by her brothers, Mark Jones (Doris) and Thomas Jones (Patty) of Graham, her sisters Julia Stanley (Glenn) and Martha Ward (CD) of Elon. Brother-In-Law John Massey (Bobbie) of Burlington, she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews she loved.


A visitation is planned for Wednesday, November 15, 2023, 6pm-8pm at Bethel Baptist Church, 238 Dixon Road, Graham, NC. The funeral will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park.


She was an avid Carolina Tarheel fan, Atlanta Braves, and New York Yankees fan.


The family would like to thank the Hospice home of Burlington for the compassion and care they gave Sandra.


In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Aurora Care Hospice Home, Burlington NC


The family will be at the home of Tony Massey, Salem Church Road, Haw River.
